Alison Rutherford had expressed an interest in being co-opted onto the council.
Proposed by Cllr Hunt, Seconded by Cllr Shaftesley and resolved that Ms Rutherford be duly co-opted onto the council. Ms Rutherford signed the acceptance of office in the presence of the clerk.

The Minutes of the meeting of the meeting held on 14 May 2024 were approved and signed by the Chair.
A report had been previously circulated by the Clerk.
The broken traffic mirror at Boot had been reported to Highways. They stated that these were not allowed and would not be replaced.

Cllr Kirkby has still not heard from the National Trust. He had been sent a video of one being used as a “pop-up” café. Going to chase re being used as an Information hub with leaflets etc. Still requires the crown gold painting.
Cllr Hunt presented a draft document based on the initial survey. Clerk to contact ACT for advice on next steps. Clerk to find details of number of properties within the Parish.
Clerk stated that this had been reported to ENWL. Cllr Rutherford to provide new photographs for Clerk to report again.

Village Hall – Cllr Shaftesley reported that a grant had been received from ENW for the Hall to become a “warm space”. Charity Commissioners had rejected the first document and this is to be re-submitted. Still issues around ownership.
External Auditors had accepted the AGAR and approved it. Councillors thank the Clerk for her hard work in this matter.
Cllrs Hunt and Rutherford gave their apologies for the September meeting.
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on 10 September 2024 at St Bega’s Village Hall, Eskdale Green commencing at 7.30pm.
There being no other business the meeting closed at 2008 hours.
