It was noted that work had been undertaken by the NorthWest Electricity but work had now stopped.
Volunteers were required to tidy the box up. As a Grade 2 listed building funding to be sought to refurbish. Cllr Vickers to supply the Clerk with some photographs of its current state.
The Defibrillator that is to be donated by the Fred Whitton Challenge will be located at West Lakes Adventure.
A volunteer is required to undertake the weekly checks on the defib located at the toilets.

Cllr Carlin had circulated a draft housing survey report. To be discussed at the September meeting
Cllr Kirkby was nominated to represent the council on the School governors
Cllr Postlethwaite was nominated as the council representative on the Village Hall committee.
Cllr Vickers reported that a meeting had be held with representatives from United Utilities re the sewage treatment plant.
The plant was built in 1960 and met current regulations and remedial works are to be carried out by end of 2021.
Smell – pipework had been damaged by an unknown vehicle and this had now been repaired.
There is spare capacity within the system and any future new developments in the locality could be met should access be requested.
There was a plan to install extra soakaway pipes.
Rainwater – pre 2012 connections, rainwater can go down the UU system.

The event to be held on 19 September 2021. The Council expressed disappointment that the representatives of Fred Whitton had not held to their commitments made at the meeting with the community on 9 February 2021
Clerk to contact Cty Cllr K Hitchen re road closures and impact on local businesses.
This event had gone ahead and there were many positive comments regarding it.
